2. Information we collect

• Account information, such as email address, sign-in provider details, and account identifiers.
• Profile information you provide, such as display name, real name where used, anonymous handle, avatar, photos, age, job, bio, gender, and orientation.
• Location information, including approximate or precise location when you enable map discovery, pulses, events, or nearby features.
• User content, such as pulse descriptions, stories, event details, comments, connection requests, and messages.
• Connection and safety information, such as match status, blocked users, reports, support messages, timestamps, and moderation-related records.
• Report and moderation information, such as reporter ID, reported user ID, report reason, optional details you provide, and related chat, event, or comment identifiers.
• Device and app information, such as notification settings, local app preferences, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use information

• To create and secure accounts.
• To show nearby pulses, profiles, stories, events, and connection options.
• To enable mutual approval, chat, notifications, and in-app social features.
• To personalize visibility range and app settings.
• To process reports, apply blocks, review safety issues, and moderate user-generated content.
• To prevent abuse, investigate safety issues, enforce our Terms, and protect users.
• To maintain, debug, and improve Aroundify.

4. Location data

Aroundify uses location data to power map-based discovery and nearby social features. Your device controls whether location access is granted. If you disable location access, location-based features may not work.

Your active pulse or event location may be visible to other users according to the feature design and your selected visibility settings.

5. User content and visibility

Some information you add to Aroundify is meant to be shared with other users, such as pulses, public profile fields, stories, events, and comments. Identity and profile details may be limited until mutual approval, depending on the feature.

Messages may include encrypted content and related metadata needed for delivery, safety, and account operations.

If you block another user, Aroundify stores the block relationship so that user can be filtered from your map, chat, and event surfaces. If you report another user or content, Aroundify stores the report so it can be reviewed for safety and policy enforcement.

6. Sharing

We may share information in these situations:

• With other users, as needed to provide social discovery, events, matching, stories, and chat.
• With service providers that help operate Aroundify, such as Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Maps Platform, cloud database, storage, hosting, analytics, and notification infrastructure.
• When required by law, legal process, safety needs, or to protect rights and users.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate privacy protections.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Aroundify, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You can delete your account in the app or request deletion through the public account deletion page. Account deletion is designed to remove your profile, active pulses, stories, event attendance, comments, created events, connections, and messages associated with your account, subject to legal, safety, backup, and operational retention requirements.

Reports, block records, security logs, and limited support records may be retained where needed to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms.

Deletion from backups and logs may take additional time.

8. Your choices

• You can update profile information in the app.
• You can report or block users inside the app where those controls are available.
• You can change device permissions for location, camera, photos, and notifications.
• You can request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help by emailing [email protected].
• You can request account and data deletion at aroundify.app/account-deletion.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet or mobile service can be guaranteed to be fully secure.

10. Age limit

Aroundify is intended for adults 18 and older. Do not use Aroundify if you are under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to Aroundify, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
